Film Poster Planning
The first thing I needed to know before creating my film poster was the size of my poster as I would need to specify this on Photoshop. From my research I decided on (im not too sure… looool)
The idea I had in my head was to make the message of the film subliminally exposed though my poster. I wanted to do this by having my main character tied up in strings. So this will need to be added
following from this i used a google image search an image which could be used in my poster and the best i could find was this one. i liked this one as i knew i could make it look like my main charecterwas actually attached to these strings
I wanted to have a dark poster as I feel it would be more interesting to look at as you have to have a closer look at darker posters to really see what’s going on, this was inspired by the dark knight poster. Where you can see everything going on in the background but it isn’t obvious that it’s there at first glance. decided to use a the dark twitter logo as it exemplified the orgins of my story and where the theoretical power came from but also gave that dark feel that i wanted so idecided to incorporate this as a background image.
In most feature length film posters, the main character is often the centre of attention, but I did not feel that this convention fitted with my short film, and going along with the anti-conventional style of short films, I decided to make my main character small on the post whilst the puppet hand I used would be bigger to replicate power and status.

when in my media class i noticed that some feature length posters had credits at the bottom refferencing people involved. when thinking abou ththis in the context of the purpose of shortfilm, i thought if short films are supposed help aspring film makers, it would make sense for some references to people involved to be made. this had a conventional way of being done. it was done by having the names in a larger font than the job title which they had within the production. i decided to follow this and incorporate it into my potser.
as well as this i incorporated my synopsis into it aswell as cutting east logo to replicate a film festival entry. this is also where shortfilms ae distributed which made it look more professional. when i put it all together using various photshop tools, this is how my product came out.
